🌸 Horticultural schedule - rules for exhibitors
- Exhibitors must give notice of their intention to show to the secretary two days before the show. Late entries will not be accepted.
- Exhibit Fee: 50p per entry for Adults: 30p for Juniors
- All exhibits to be staged by 10.30am. LATE EXHIBITS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. No exhibits to be removed before 4pm. All Exhibits to be removed from the Marquee between 4.15pm. and 5.15pm. Exhibits not collected by 5.30pm will be removed.
- Each exhibitor to provide plate, dish or container to hold his/her own exhibits. Thecommittee will not be held responsible for the loss of such articles.
- Exhibitors may show ONE ENTRY ONLY in each class.
- All exhibits in class 1 to class 122 must have been grown by the exhibitor in their garden or allotment for THEIR OWN USE. Anyone found infringing this rule or gaining by trickery or deception will, on detection, FORFEIT HIS/HER PRIZES and be excluded from competing in future shows.
- ALL EXHIBITORS MUST AGREE TO INSPECTION OF GARDENS BEFORE OR AFTER THE SHOW BY THE APPOINTED COMMITTEE IF REQUIRED.
- All exhibits in Classes 1 to 122 must have been in the ownership of the exhibitor for a minimum of 2 months prior to the Show.
- Anyone wishing to lodge a protest must do so, in writing, on the day of the show, to the Hon. Secretary with a fee of £5.00. If upheld this fee will be refunded.
- The judges are instructed to judge for quality, not size, UNLESS specified in the schedule and their decision in all cases is final.
- PRIZE WINNERS may collect prize during the afternoon of the Show in the Horticultural Marquee. Or within 7 days of the show from Kelly Andrews, Westwood, Grange Road, Tillingham.
- Class A is an Open Class.
- Class B is only open to all residents of. Tillingham, Dengie, Bradwell, Asheldham and St. Lawrence.
NOTE: ALL EXHIBITS MUST BE ACCORDING TO SCHEDULE RULE 1, 6, 7 AND 8 WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED IN 2025 Cup Winners Presentations will take place in the Marquee at 4.30pm.
